World No-Tobacco Day was observed on 1.6.2020 under the guidance of our respected Principal, Dr.A.Vasantha Kumari. The patients attending the Dental OP were explained about the deleterious consequences of using tobacco through Oral health educational models. The faculty members from the Department of Public Health Dentistry explained about the ill effects of tobacco and methods of preventing oral cancer. Pamphlets illustrating the long term effects of smoking and the harms inflicted by passive smoking during pregnancies were distributed to the patients.
