Bachelor of Dental Surgery


Introduction

Dentistry is also the branch of medicine that is involved in the study, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of diseases, disorders and conditions of the oral cavity, the maxilla facial area and the adjacent and associated structures and their impact on the human body.

Bachelor of Dental Surgery course will provide a detailed theoretical knowledge, practical learning experience enabling the students to co relate basic sciences, behavioral science and practical skills on clinical application that will achieve the most effective and comprehensive oral rehabilitation in patients.

Duration of Course : 4 years and 1 year CRRI.

Eligibility : Should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission. Should have passed indian NEET Exam. 

Course Of Study

The BDS Curriculum is divided into 4 years of studies and 1 year of compulsory internship. The subjects taught in the 4 years of study are :

SECOND YEAR

  2. General and Dental Pharmacology and Therapeutics

  4. Pre-clinical Conservative Dentistry
  5. Pre-clinical Prosthodontics and Crown & Bridge
