In line with World Cancer day celebration, a signal campaign was organized on 4.2.2020 for creating awareness to the general public at Melmaruvathur bus stop signal. Pamphlets illustrating the causes for oral cancer in both English and Tamil language were distributed to general public. Interns displayed placards depicting the role of deleterious habits in causing oral cancer for the benefit of the people. Slogans indicating the etiological factors of cancer and their prevention as well as the ill effects of tobacco consumption and its association with cancer were recited throughout the campaign.
