DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION


Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry of APDCH provides exclusive diagnosis, treatment and preventive dental care from infancy through adolescence for normal children and special health care needs. Our department thrives to achieve high oral ethical standard of practice and promotes education and research in pediatric dentistry.

           

Our institution is enriched with research facilities, We Instill research interest and promote research activity among the staff members, post graduate and undergraduate students. Various Inter-Departmental activities are conducted within the Departments of Medical and dental, so that patient care is improved to a great extent with good scope for clinical learning and research activities. Our Department organized various CDE programs, conferences, workshops, hands on courses at inter college and interstate level.

• Our mission is to advocate guidelines, and programs and implementation of the same in order to promote optimal oral health and oral health care for the children to make an oral disease-free population for tomorrow.
• Establishing a loving, caring and a child focused dental home.
• Promoting healthier eating and home oral care habits as early as possible
• Faculty development program and other scholarly activity and research will be conducted to provide a foundation for evidence-based learning and enhanced health care for students and staff of the department.
