Dentist day was celebrated on 6th March.2020. Our respected Principal, Dr.A.Vasantha Kumari inaugurated “Wheel of Colors” which depicted different dental conditions and diseases, their prevention as well treatment options. Pamphlets illustrating the benefits of visiting a dentist and proper brushing technique (both English and Tamil) were distributed to the patients attending our dental college, the dental OP of Primary Health Centers in Venmalagaram and Madhuranthagam as well as Perumbakkam treatment camp. A skit about the significance of retaining avulsed tooth and various modalities of its preservation was performed in Perumbakkam government primary school. Oral health education was provided for the students regarding parts of a tooth, proper brushing techniques, use of appropriate oral hygiene aids and the significance of retaining natural primary and permanent dentition.
